I think you can learn a lot from books, but you can't learn it [filmmaking] unless you know what it really means practically. So you gotta combine making films, watching films, listening to other filmmakers, and reading about films, for it to all make sense in a way that's really gonna teach you how to do it. And editing films is a key thing you have to know about.
